The research network "Language and Knowledge - problems in public and professional communication" is based on a collaboration of linguists as well as other scientists from various countries, whose declared goal it is to investigate from a specifically linguistic point of view the linguistic constitution of technical objects and facts. Thus, both problems in technical and professional communication as well as problems in "publicised" and public communication on expert knowledge can be analysed.
